On the Go?

Ride one of the sure-footed mules down the spectacular Kalaupapa sea cliff trail.

Take a sport fishing boat out to catch your dinner.

Sail to Lanai for the day to snorkel and laze around on deck.

Scuba dive the pristine waters of Hawaii's only barrier reef.

Play 18 holes on one of Hawaii's five best golf courses. Or maybe a fast nine on the local municipal course.

If you didn't bring yours, rent some gear and go snorkeling, surfing or boogie boarding.

Tenderfoot or experienced, sign up for a horseback adventure.

Expand your cultural awareness by visiting an ancient Hawaiian heiau (temple).

Rent a mountain bike and go touring.

Learn Hawaiian fishing and hunting techniques, or try kayaking and reef trolling.

Visit the rain forest on a hike through the Kamakou preserve.

Take a nap.

Relaxing?

Grab some shade under a palm tree and dive into that new novel you've been wanting to read.

Take some sun screen and a towel to an empty beach and soak up some rays.

Visit the Molokai Museum & Cultural Center, plus the restored 19th century sugar mill in Kala'e.

While you're in the neighborhood, don't miss the spectacular view of Kalaupapa from the lookout.

Visit a tropical flower farm, a macadamia nut farm or a coffee plantation.

If it's December-April, find a quiet shoreline spot and watch for humpback whales.

Watch a halau practice hula.

Wander around the Kaunakakai shops. If you look carefully, you can find some amazing things.

Climate

Molokai weather is wonderful year round, with temperatures averaging about 75°F and rarely going 6 or 7 degrees above or below.. In winter (Dec. thru Mar.), the night time temeratures may drop to the lower 60s and you're more likely to experience a rainy day. No Rain - No Rainbows!

Spring, summer and fall are all very similar with warm days (up to 85°F) cooled by the trade winds and pleasant evenings in the mid to lower 70s.
